Namibia's captain Erasmus led the team with a half-century, scoring 58 runs, as Namibia reached 155/9 against Scotland in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Scotland's Brad Wheal took 3 wickets.
A resolute half-century from their captain Gerhard Erasums enabled Namibia to reach 155 for nine against Scotland in their Group B match of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup this afternoon at Kensington Oval.
Erasmus struck five fours and two sixes from 31 balls, and he was the cornerstone of his side’s revival after they stumbled to 37 for three inside the Power Play.
He added 51 for the fifth wicket with wicketkeeper-batsman Zane Green before off-spinner Michael Leask got him stumped in the 14th over.
Green made 28, but none of the other batsmen got to 20, and Brad Wheal was the pick of the Scotland bowlers taking three for 33 from his allotted four overs.
