Outstanding Performances by Top Players in BCA Super Cup Championship Semifinalists

Outstanding performances by top players in the BCA Super Cup Championship league phase: Craig Holder leads in runs, Tariq O’Neale in wickets, and Leniko Boucher with a double-century. Semifinals matchups detailed.
Three players, who will feature in the semifinals of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) Super Cup Championship on Sunday, boasted of outstanding performances at the end of the league phase.
The semifinals are: Wildey vs IGS Insurance Brokers Yorkshire at Weymouth and Carlton vs ESA Field Pickwick at Friendship.
Craig Holder of Pickwick has the most runs, Wildey off-spinner Tariq O’Neale the most wickets, and Carlton’s Leniko Boucher slammed a double-century.
Left-hander Holder has 324 runs including two centuries from five innings with one not out at an average of 81.00. He is also the only batsman with two hundreds – 102 not out against Walkers Reserve Isolation Cavaliers at Foursquare oval and 101 versus Windward at the same venue.
O’Neale has 14 wickets at 7.85 runs each with an economy rate of 3.02. His best figures are five for eight against Maple at Trents.
Opener Boucher made 219 not out in a total of 406 for three off 50 overs against SigniaGlobe Financial BCA Youth who were beaten by 155 runs (DLS method) at Desmond Haynes Oval.
Boucher faced 139 balls and struck 22 fours and 10 sixes. His century came off 61 balls with 15 fours and three sixes, 150 (111 balls, 15 fours, 7 sixes) and 200 (128 balls, 21 fours, 9 sixes).
It is only the second ever double century in the island’s top one-day competition.
Dale Richards, also of Carlton, scored an unbeaten 202 in 2006. Captaining the Black Rock team on home turf against Banks (now Wildey), Richards faced 145 balls and struck 20 fours and four sixes in a total of 381 for three off 48 overs. Carlton won by 156 runs.
