Harrison College Dominates Barbados Secondary Schools' Athletic Championship Cross Country Finals

Harrison College emerged as victorious champions in the boys' and girls' divisions at the Barbados Secondary Schools' Athletic Championship Cross Country Finals.
Harrison College defied the elements to reign doubly supreme as boys’ and girls’ champions at yesterday’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Athletic Championship Cross Country Finals.
Unperturbed by BSSAC’s change of location from the National Botanical Gardens to St George Secondary, “Kolij” pounced on the opposition to record a comfortable overall boys’ victory, while pipping the lasses of The St Michael School.
Led by their senior boys including champion Matthieu Clarke, Kolij scored 312 in a contest where the lowest aggregate after adding the positions of the school’s first five finishers, wins. Christ Church Foundation School followed with 450, and Combermere third on 551.
Competition for the girls’ title was very close as HC edged SMS by just two points, 281 to 283. (RW)
