Man Faces Sentencing After Drug Possession and Traffic Violations Incident in Christ Church

Man caught with drugs after running red light in Barbados faces pre-sentencing report. Delroy Anthony Hendricks, 32, admitted drug possession and traffic violations in court.
A pre-sentencing report was ordered on a man caught with drugs after he ran a red light.
Delroy Anthony Hendricks, a 32-year-old carpenter, of Moravian Gardens, Maxwell, Christ Church, was in the District “A” Traffic Court yesterday, where he admitted having cannabis; that he had a traffickable quantity of the drug and that he had it with intent to supply on August 20.
He also pleaded guilty to being the driver of XA279, on Country Road, on August 20, he did not register the vehicle with the Barbados Licensing Authority; he had no insurance or driver’s licence; he proceeded beyond the stop line during an amber light; that he drove without due care and attention and that he used fraudulent plates.
A charge of driving without reasonable consideration was withdrawn.
