Man Sentenced for Trespassing and Theft in Bridgetown Court, Faces Further Charges

July 25, 2024
Jermaine Hartley Cox sentenced to nine months for trespassing and theft, with the sentence suspended for 12 months. Pleads guilty to additional charges of loitering and theft before the same court.
Last September, Jermaine Hartley Cox admitted to a Bridgetown court that it was he who entered the building Lady Wonder as a trespasser and stole articles valued $265 belonging to Margaret Rock-Clarke on July 25 last year.
He was sentenced to nine months in prison for the offence, but Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes suspended the sentence for 12 months.
Unfortunately for Cox, his luck ran out when he found himself before the same court and magistrate on Tuesday.
Cox pleaded guilty in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court No. 1 to not one, but two offences – loitering and theft. (SD)
