Desperate plea from mother of missing 15-year-old Cheston Augustine Collis, last seen in school uniform in St Philip. Search efforts intensified in The City. Public urged to help locate him.
“Cheston, I am just pleading for you to come home.”
That was the desperate cry on Tuesday from Lashandy Studor, the distraught mother of 15-year-old Cheston Augustine Collis, of Diamond Valley, St Philip, who has been missing since last Friday.
The St Leonard’s Boys’ Secondary student was last seen around 5:30 a.m. that day wearing his school uniform and carrying a black and white haversack.
Studor led a group of around 35 people, including family members and friends, to Golden Square Freedom Square in The City around 5:30 p.m. to step up the search for the student.
The group, divided into teams, distributed flyers with Cheston’s photo, seeking the public’s help to look out for the teenager.
Studor, who was unable to speak without being overcome with emotion, only managed to appeal directly to her son.
“Cheston, I am in the island, I am begging you. Anyone that is holding my son against his own will, please, please, please, please, let my son come home safely,” she pleaded.
A police description of the missing boy stated that Cheston is five inches, seven feet tall, slim, walks with an erect appearance and has a pleasant manner. He wears glasses and his hair is plaited in cornrows.
Anyone who knows Cheston’s whereabouts is asked to contact the District ‘C’ Police Station at 416-8200, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or any police station. (SD)
