Justice Wanda Blair reflects on the consequences of impulsive actions as Renaldo Ricardo Holder receives a 15-year sentence for a shooting incident involving multiple individuals in St. John.
Acting in haste, repenting in leisure.
This, said Justice Wanda Blair, sums up the behaviour of most of today’s offenders.
The judge was speaking as she sentenced Renaldo Ricardo Holder to a starting sentence of 15 years for shooting at a number of neighbours seven years ago.
Holder, 37, of Edge Cliff No. 1, St John, was back in the No. 4A Supreme Court yesterday for sentencing after he had been found guilty of using a firearm; discharging that firearm on Venture Road, St John, which placed Joshua Riley, Dashawn Carter and Shanico Moore in danger of death or serious bodily harm, as well as unlawfully wounding Kingsley Hinkson, all on July 19, 2017.
