A 34-year-old woman has to report to the Oistins Police Station every weekend as a condition of bail, after she denied 27 counts of stealing money from a snack store.
Jalissa Oneeka Parris of Pegwell Gardens, Christ Church appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to stealing various amounts of cash totalling $20 801.75 between February 1 and April 13 belonging to the Snack Shak.
The cash amounts ranged from $197.40 to $1 500.24.
Granting her bail of $15 000 with a surety after there were no objections to her pretrial release, the chief magistrate informed the unemployed woman that she would have to report to the Oistins Police Station every Saturday before noon.
The matter was adjourned until September 2.
