AN UNEMPLOYED MAN who said he stole 32 breadfruits because he was hungry, has escaped being sent to jail.
Ryan Ricardo Belle, 32, was sentenced to three months in prison, but it was suspended for 12 months, when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court No. 1 last Thursday.
Belle, of Block 2E Madison Terrace, Deacons, St Michael, admitted stealing the breadfruits belonging to Yelluh Meat Restaurant Ltd sometime between June 27 and 28 last year. (SD)
