Police Investigate Two Separate Fatal Shootings in St Michael: Victims Identified, Urges Public Cooperation

Police investigate two fatal shootings in Barbados. Chad Roett, 32, and Raheam Brathwaite, 30, were killed in separate incidents in St. Michael. Authorities seek information from the public.

Police are continuing investigations into two separate fatal shootings that occurred on Wednesday night.

Lawmen discovered the motionless body of Chad Roett, 32, of Proute, St Thomas at 4th Avenue, Harts Gap, St Michael, after receiving a report around 9:50 p.m. of a shooting at Harts Gap.

Roett was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.

The second shooting resulted in the death of Raheam Brathwaite, 30, of Melvin’s Avenue, Black Rock, St Michael.

Police said they received a report around 9:58 p.m. of multiple gunshots in Boyce’s Road, Free Hill, Black Rock.

They discovered Brathwaite at the scene. He was transported to the hospital but died while receiving treatment.

Police are appealing to anyone with knowledge of the two incidents to contact the Black Rock Police Station at 417-7500, police emergency at 211, the Criminal Investigation Department at 430 7189 or any police station.
