Police have ceased investigations regarding the discovery of a small plane in St. John. The investigation concluded the aircraft is only a shell with no engine or wings, placed there by a local resident.
Police have discontinued investigations into reports of the discovery of a small plane in St John.
Lawmen said a recent video circulating over the past 24 hours highlighted a small aircraft in a wooded area located at Glenburnie, St Margaret’s Village.
This matter was reported to the police on Saturday and after investigations were carried out, it was concluded that there was no reason to be overly concerned as the aircraft is only a shell with no engine or wings.
Police further disclosed that the shell was placed between 2016 and 2017 — by an individual who is a resident in the area, police said.
The person was interviewed and stated that it was there for such a long period that the trees and wooded vegetation had since overgrown the area and the aircraft shell.
