June 11, 2024
A 12-year-old girl testified in Supreme Court No. 4A, explaining why she didn't scream or tell her aunt about an alleged indecent assault three years ago. The aunt's boyfriend, 47, is on trial.
“I was frighten.”
That was the explanation a 12-year-old girl gave to Supreme Court No. 4A yesterday, as to why she never screamed or told her aunt anything on the night she was allegedly indecently assaulted three years ago when she was nine.
The aunt’s boyfriend, now 47, of a St Michael address, is on trial for the June 15, 2021 offence.
A jury of four males and five females is hearing the matter, over which Justice Wanda Blair is presiding. The accused is being represented by attorneys Dr Lenda Blackman and Simon Clarke. (SD)
