17-year-old Dashawn Hinkson identified as victim in Rockhall shooting. Police report he was shot while with friends by three men. Hinkson sought shelter but succumbed to injuries. 18th homicide of the year.
The victim in Friday night’s shooting at Rockhall, St Philip, has been identified as Dashawn Hinkson, 17, police say.
According to police, around 10:41 p.m., Hinkson was liming with friends when they were approached by three men who opened fire.
Hinkson was struck during the melee. He collapsed and died inside a neighbour’s house where he had gone to seek shelter, police say.
Lawmen say Hinkson, of Rock Hall, St Philip, is the 18th victim of homicide recorded for the year.
Police are continuing their investigation.
